Supercritical fluids
The effectiveness of our products lies in an avant-garde and sustainable technology, the Supercritical Fluid Technology, that allows us to extract the essences of natural matters.
A Supercritical Fluid is any substance which pressure and temperature conditions exceed their critical point.
In such state, an intermediate hybrid between liquid and gas, the compound has some particular properties that allow it to be used as an extractive agent, so it can be spread through solids as a gas, while it presents the ability to dissolve materials, similar to the ability of liquids.
The most used Supercritical Fluid is CO2. The extraction process lies in putting the CO2 in supercritical conditions through the natural raw material, pulling along the significant compounds.
After the extraction, we only have to reduce the pressure, so the CO2 becomes gas again and comes off easily from the extract, recovering the CO2 to use it again later. Through this innovative, sustainable and clean process, we obtain high quality extracts without waste, which will later form a product range proven effective and safe, for optimum health.
By virtue of our sustainable responsibility, we reduce the use of organic solvents as much as possible, we facilitate the reuse of the remaining raw materials and we minimize the CO2 emissions. There are no CO2 emissions to the atmosphere at any time of the process, we only use it to carry out the extraction of active principles.
